Ll bean rolling adventure duffel med8/13/2023 ![]() ![]() This bag is proof that when it comes to luggage, bigger can, in fact, be better. The bag does not stand upright on its own. Overall, it’s an excellent, durable option for protecting your gear during the most intense of adventures. Still, after taking a bat to it, there was zero visible damage to the wheels, frame, or fabric when finished. The bag did lose points for its exterior handles - there are only short handles on the sides (along with the rolling handle) which would make it easy to pull a bag off the conveyer belt but awkward to lift it high when fully packed. After using the bag regularly for two months, we found that it also rolls so easily, whether traveling over carpet, sidewalks, or any other surface. It has a large capacity with compression straps to easily fit more than a week’s worth of clothing as well. It’s made of extremely durable TPU fabric with a DWR coating to shed water, snow, and other moisture away. Torrential downpours and even the errant sidewalk puddle don’t stand a chance with this water-resistant rolling duffel that even has rainflaps for added protection against the elements. There is no handle to carry the bag horizontally. The Details: 11 pounds | 16 x 30.3 x 14 inches | 98 liters The price tag may be steep, but this bag’s looks and performance make it a worthy investment. This rolling duffel also has enough compartments to satisfy any organization enthusiast, with two sides including one with added compression straps to hold clothing securely. We were especially impressed by how easily it maneuvered over a variety of different surfaces, and noted how smoothly the oversized wheels worked on uneven carpeting, too. The fabric and the zippers are substantial and luxurious, and the bag easily held up for multiple bat whacks and drops from a high table. In fact, after regularly using the bag for two months, we found that it can fit weeks' worth of clothing while keeping gear and accessories organized in individual pockets. They say that travel is about the journey, not (necessarily) the destination, and packing a Tumi bag is always an enjoyable part of any journey. The Details: 9.3 pounds | 32.6 x 16 x 13.7 inches | 100 liters We also noticed, after regularly using the bag for two months, that it sometimes falls over when fully packed because it is front heavy. The durable, oversized wheels performed well during our maneuverability tests, but we did dock half a point because this is a very, very large bag that smaller individuals may have difficulty moving around, especially in crowded spaces. The bag is also highly weather-resistant, crafted from a coated ripstop material made from 100 percent recycled fabric, lining, and webbing. If we were to roll the clothes or even use packing cubes, we could fit double or triple the number of items. ![]() Packing quickly, we found that we had so much room to spare during tests. We tested the largest size which features a large main compartment that makes it a cinch to pack whatever gear you throw its way, as well as a zippered side pocket and mesh pockets for smaller items you want to keep separate. Get on board with the bag that travelers around the world swear by: Patagonia’s Black Hole Duffel, which comes in a 40-liter, a 70-liter, and an unbelievably spacious 100-liter version. We found the perfect pick for anyone traveling light, a standout for camping trips and other outdoor adventures, and so forth.īecause it’s so large, some may struggle with maneuvering it. While top marks went to the spacious, water-resistant Patagonia Black Hole Wheeled Duffel Bag - part of the brand’s enormously popular Black Hole range, which is a hit with travelers around the world - there were a number of runners up that were each strong in their own category. ![]() ![]() It was tough work, but somebody had to do it, and that’s how we landed on these final 12 rolling duffels. And, above all else, we considered all of these tests, and their respective price tags, to consider what total value these bags offer. We then took a baseball bat to them to test durability (seriously). We pushed them, pulled them, and steered them every which way to test their maneuverability. We went over them with a fine-tooth comb to consider design features big and small. We packed them to the brim to test their capacity. To help you in this journey, we set out to find the best of the best when it comes to rolling duffels, combing the market before ultimately putting 30 products through a battery of tests. New travel gear can quickly add up, so it’s important to invest in the right pieces that will last a long time, especially for luggage and other bags. ![]()

Freddy says relax8/13/2023 ![]() In the mid-eighties, people wore their personal credos across their chests all the time. My brain resolved it as two words, ESP and SPIRIT I assumed my classmate was proclaiming her allegiance to the paranormal realm, which seemed to make a certain amount of sense. Her sweatshirt featured the brand name printed in oversized letters: ESP on the front, with the -SPRIT wrapping around under her armpit and across her back. ![]() At that moment, ESPRIT was on the cusp of becoming an eighties fashion juggernaut, and this was my first exposure to it. ![]() My classmate wore a sleeveless pastel ESPRIT sweatshirt to volleyball practice that day, which has somehow burned itself into my memory. (I’d like to be able to point to Lady Chatterley’s Lover as proof my tastes in dirty books skewed toward the highbrow in my formative years. Those virile chaps in Frankie Goes to Hollywood could have been cumming or coming it hardly matters. I was too meek to contradict my classmate, and even in fifth grade I knew this was probably a weird hill to die on, so I nodded and agreed with her. I had my quiet doubts about this Lady Chatterley’s Lover, which I’d read earlier that year, featured many passages about orgasming, all of which used a more traditional spelling: c-o-m-e. I remember sitting on a bench in the gym with a classmate during volleyball practice, deep in conversation about “Relax.” My friend argued that the word “come,” as in “when you wanna come,” was actually spelled “cum” when used to refer to ejaculation. “Relax” is a spewing, spurting geyser of a song.Īs a fifth grader in 1985, I knew the “motivation” explanation didn’t hold water. No one at any point in history from the song’s release to the present has ever been fuzzy about the meaning of “Relax” motivational speeches, after all, rarely invoke the phrase “suck to it.” Lyrically, “Relax” is not subtle (“ shoot it in the right direction”) sonically, the track contains enough grunting and gushing to broadcast its intentions to those who don’t understand spoken English. Lastly: thanks to our Russian correspondent Ash and his Russian boy-source Regulus who confirmed the whole beaver thing for us.In the liner notes to their 1984 debut album Welcome to the Pleasuredome, Frankie Goes to Hollywood bassist Mark O’Toole writes of the band’s hit “Relax,” “hen it first came out we used to pretend it was about motivation, and really it was about shagging.” In Head to Headlines we argue the toss (pun intended) about the legality and morality of pumping in public. Blue point juniper spiral8/13/2023 ![]() ![]() For a powerful statement in your garden, without any fuss or bother, this is the plant you want. If you don’t trim, this really is a tree you can ‘plant and forget’, after the initial year, when it should be watered regularly to encourage it to establish quickly. Use a little fertilizer in spring to get the best growth, but otherwise it is free of pests, diseases or any problems. It takes me to the original place where it defined. That's it! The reference window will be open.Īnd, if I'm going through code and want to know the definition of a member like Class, Variable, or a Method, I just click on it and hit F12. If I'm working on a gigantic codebase with multiple project files in a solution and I want to see all the references of a particular member like Class, Method, Variable, or Properties, I just click on that member and do Shift + F12. And also, if you are generating code snippets using the double-tab method, most of the code will auto-aligned. So, I just do Ctrl + K + D after writing the code and it is aligned. It is difficult to identify which part belongs to other parts of the code. ![]() Often writing code, it tricks me if my code is not aligned properly at all. So, I just useĬtrl + K + C for commenting and Ctrl + K + U for uncommenting. And this requires commenting-uncommenting the lines. Often writing code, I would like to make tweaks while testing. If I want to write a switch-case for all values present in a very tall enum (an enum with a huge list of entries), I just generate the switch-case template using my trick of Double-Tab, enter the enum name in the switch-on place and Click on the default keyword just once. If I want to write a class, a constructor, a for-loop, etc, I just type the keyword and hit TAB twice. But I'm going to list down the 5 shortcut keys that I use the most to increase my programming speed. Keyboard shortcuts are my favorite and there just so many I love. They are there already, configured by default when you install a fresh copy of Visual Studio (any version). And one more cool fact about these is you don't have to do anything in the settings to enable it. ![]() Using shortcut keys is not just cool but also increases productivity. I have been coding in C# on Visual Studio for almost around 8 years and I have realized using some of the keyboard short keys while writing the code is just so fast than using a mouse and going around options to click. ![]()

Southside with you movie review8/12/2023 ![]() This movie does a good job rounding out the background. I read both of Obama’s books before he became president, and they helped form my opinion at the time. If you are a supporter of Obama, you’ll likely enjoy this movie as a portrait of the young man to make an extraordinary difference in our nation’s history. Who would have thought in 1989 that the skinny couple above (in a picture taken during the time the movie plays) would be moving into the White House less than 19 years hence. None of us will ever know, of course, but I ruminate about such turns – or perhaps I would call them – simple twists of fate.
